From Chester Main Line Station:

Take taxi (app. 2 miles), or bus to Town Hall bus exchange.

Mon - Sat: First Crosville number 1 bus runs half hourly to main zoo entrance. The number 4 bus runs half hourly to pedestrian entrance. On Bank Holidays, only the number 1 runs.

Sundays and Bank Holidays: Arriva buses numbers 411 and 412 run to main zoo entrance.

From Merseyrail Bache Station:

Mon - Sat and Bank Holidays: First Crosville number 1 bus runs from Mill Lane

Sundays and Bank Holidays: Arriva buses numbers 411 and 412 run from Liverpool Road.

All Arriva Trains Merseyside manned stations sell combined rail / bus / zoo tickets.

From Rivacre, Ellesmere Port and Cheshire Oaks:

Mon - Sat: First Crosville number 4 bus runs half hourly to pedestrian entrance of the zoo.

From Liverpool, Birkenhead and Ellesmere Port:

Mon - Sat: First Crosville number 1 bus runs half hourly to main zoo entrance.

Sundays and Bank Holidays: Arrival buses numbers 411 and 412 run half hourly to main zoo entrance.
