Chester Zoo Monorail and Waterbus

The Monorail takes you on a 10 -15 minute journey, and is the perfect way to get an overview of Chester Zoo. Travel above the animals and see them from a new perspective - a great way to round off your visit and get back to the gates at the end of the day. The Monorail operates all year round and closes 15 minutes before the main zoo closing time. It is fully wheelchair accessible but cannot accommodate electric scooters.

The Waterbus operates from 7th April until 2nd September (weekends only at quiet times) and runs from the jetty in East Zoo. The 12 - 15 minute trip gives a very different view of the zoo, especially during spring when the waterfowl are out and daffodils are in bloom.
