Chester Zoo Animals

There are a vast array of animals on-site at Chester Zoo; mammals, birds, reptiles and invertebrates all share a home at this delightful wildlife retreat. Not only is it the largest zoological garden in the United Kingdom, but it was also the first zoo to successfully breed Asian Elephants in captivity. Chester Zoo is also renowned for its chimpanzee enclosure with a well-established family of over 28 animals. Beautiful birds such as the Caribbean Flamingo and the St Lucia Amazon Parrot can bee seen at the zoo alongside the immense Komodo Dragon and the deadly Goliath bird-eating spider.
