Facelift for Chester Zoo's Entrance
An ambitious £1 million project is under way at Chester Zoo that will see an exciting transformation of the entrance.
Work on the New Beginnings project began on February 19th. Costing just under £1 million, the work will provide enhanced facilities for the zoo and is expected to take 5 weeks, finishing just in time for the Easter holidays. Head of Visitor Services, Liz Child said that the new entrance "will provide a better experience for visitors."
Transforming the entrance to Chester Zoo, the work will see dramatic new landscaping, a wheelchair and buggy hire facility, new guest services area and improvements to the Ark Shop. The finishing touch to the project will by an iconic Oak tree as a centrepiece.
With more than 500 different species of animals, Chester Zoo provides a great day out for all the family. The New Beginnings project will enhance the zoo experience for visitors for years to come.
