Lazy Summer Evening in an English Country Garden
On Friday 4th July Chester Zoo will stay open a little later than normal as part of the Lazy Summer Evening events.
This July make the most of the sun with a family trip to Chester Zoo. On Friday 4th July you and your family can enjoy the sights and sounds of the Zoo as well as a little taste of England. Sit back with a glass of Pimms and some strawberries on the Arara Lawn, listening to the gentle sounds of the string quartet whilst the kids make the most of the giant garden games, including snakes and ladders and of course the quintessentially British past-time croquet.
To ensure you make the most of the days events Chester Zoo will remain open until 9.30pm with several of the Zoo's enclosures open to visitors until 9pm including the Tropical Realm, RORA, Monkey and Elephant enclosures. Any visitors to the Zoo after 3pm on the day can take advantage of half price entry, with all admissions including a free waterbus ride which runs from 5pm until 8pm. You'll even get to see Chester Zoo staff dressed in traditional British punting attire!
Picnic boxes are available from the Zoo by pre-order and the Hammond school singers are set to perform on the bandstand at the Zoo's main entrance. A perfect British day out and the chance to see animals as the sun goees down all at Chester Zoo this summer.
Don't forget you can book entry to the park with an overnight stay in a local hotel from just £90 for a family of four with Chester Zoo Holidays.
