JANUARY
Book for the last few days of Frost Fair. The final skate is on Sunday 13th January.
FEBRUARY
Monday 11th - Friday 15th February - Love Week
The Zoo celebrates Valentines Day and you can too with a trip on the ‘Love Train’ and special lunches in Oakfield Manor.
Tuesday 12th - Sunday 17th February - Orchid Festival
See our spectacular displays of rare and exotic orchids in our Grow Zone and
meet our horticulturists who care for our rare species and buy a plant to take home. You could also book an Orchid Tea at the Oakfield.
Friday 29th February - Leap Year
Make your feelings known to your loved one at Chester Zoo.
MARCH
Saturday 1st and Saturday 8th March - Brownie and Cub Days
Visit the Zoo on our special days for Brownies and Cubs. With £1 off admission come and enjoy the fun! Pre booking is essential.
Sunday 2nd March - Mothers’ Day
Book for a Mothers Day Lunch in our Oakfield Manor and get a special gift for mum! Pre booking is essential

Sensory Awareness Weekend
Use your senses and come along to enjoy animal talks with an interpreter and visual describers plus tactile sessions at various locations in the Zoo.

See our very own Dragons! Enjoy traditional English food and why not request an English Flag at face painting!
MAY
Monday 5th May Bank Holiday
Join us and celebrate with our own Morris Dancers!
Sunday 18th May - Plant Conservation Day
Meet the Gardeners here at Chester Zoo and learn about the rare and endangered species of plant that we hold here at the Zoo. You may even be able to pot a plant yourself and take it home to grow.
Saturday 29th May - Bats and Dragons Evening
Join us for an evening with a difference at Oakfield Manor - a delicious meal and a Zoo tour with our keepers.
JUNE
Sunday 15th June - Fathers’ Day
A real treat for dads! Great Competition - win a motor racing day.
Friday 20th June - Midsummer Cycle
For a visit with a difference, bring your bike and enjoy the sights, sounds and smell of Chester Zoo whilst cycling around the grounds from 6.00pm till 9.00pm. £12.00 per person including supper or book on-line and save £2.00 per person.
Saturday 28th June - A Night with the Carnivores
A fascinating evening when you can learn more about our Big Cats. Plus enjoy a delicious meal at the Oakfield.
JULY
Friday 4th July - Lazy Summer Evening at the Zoo
A new event to celebrate Year of the Gardens - come along to the Zoo as the sun goes down and experience the special atmosphere of an evening at Chester Zoo. Pre-booking will be available.
Thursday 10th July - Tropical Realm and Giraffes
Join us for an evening with a difference at Oakfield Manor followed by a personal Zoo tour with our keepers.
Storytelling in the Zoo
Hear enchanting tales of your favourite animals - brought to life by our intrepid safari explorers. Storytelling will take place in various locations throughout the Zoo - it’s fun for all the family and especially younger children!

Back by popular demand to entertain visitors on the Ark lawn! Learn to dance competition and workshops.

Saturday 25th October – Sunday 2nd November - Pumpkin Festival
Bring a pumpkin bigger than your head and receive free child admission with every full paying adult! Join in the pumpkin judging competition, guess the weight of the pumpkin and run round on the Trick or Treat Zoo Trail and win a prize! Look out for our animal pumpkin smashing displays! Halloween Tales 2pm daily Islands in Danger and Twilight Zone.
